Training Details

This in-person training takes place at Sunshine Mountain Lodge in Lyons, Colorado from, May 3-7, 2023. During this training, Participants will take a deep dive into the skills and ethics of psychedelic space holding and integration work. This training includes TWO experientials with ketamine as a tool for psychedelic space holding and integration. Trainers include Dori Lewis, MA, LPC, LMHC, Shannon Hughes, MSW, PhD,, Dr. Craig Heacock and Dr. Rob Colbert, MA, PhD, LPC.

This training is open to experienced professionals, new professionals, and upper level students from counseling, psychology, social work, health or mental health backgrounds. 

At the end of this training participants will be able to:

  • Describe the essential components and purpose of set, setting, and ritual and container as applied to psychedelic-assisted therapies, with attention to avoiding cultural appropriation and creating authentic ritual for your psychedelic practice

  • Compare and contrast "the clinical mindset” with psychedelic space holding, and explore the terrain of transpersonal and psychospiritual experiences in psychedelic work

  • Practice ethics and safety in psychedelic space holding, including topics of consent, touch, and an understanding of power in psychedelic spaces

  • Understand the basics of ketamine as a therapeutic tool and compare/contrast the therapeutic qualities of various psychedelic substances, including MDMA and psilocybin

  • Understand the essential components of psychedelic integration, and explore verbal and non-verbal modes of integration that might be useful in your practice

  • Practice de-escalation skills and "being with" the big, dark, or scary experiences that can come up in psychedelic work

  • Examine the nuances of working with marginalized communities (e.g., women, LGBTQIA, BIPOC) and apply anti-racist and feminist theories to your psychedelic practice

Lodging Instructions

Check into their cabin at Sunshine Mountain Lodge in the late afternoon/evening of May 3rd, ready to begin the training Thursday morning May 4th.

Checkout is after lunch on Sunday May 7th. 

Pricing

Regular pricing, including 4 nights lodging, meals, training fees, and medical evaluations for ketamine, are: 

  • $2,100 for a private queen room in a shared cabin, and $1800 for a twin in a shared cabin.
